Skybee drill Mobile Users Segment Mid-Low

Telecommunications and multimedia company, PT Skybee Tbk (SKYB) targeting the production and sale of mobile phone company will reach 600,000 units this year.

"We are targeting total sales amounted to 600 thousand units in 2010," said Director of Skybee Kendro Hendra, in between recording events offering of shares of the company in building the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX), Jakarta, Wednesday (07/07/2010).

Company targeting mobile phone users the lower middle class in marketing their products. With prices ranging from 700 thousand to Rp1, 5 million per unit, the company is optimistic it can sell as many mobile phones.

He explained, if the mobile phone market in Indonesia amounted to 35 million to 40 million, 74 percent is the share of the potential for handhone lower middle segment.

"As many as 74 percent of Indonesian mobile phone users buy phones that cost below Rp1, 5 million. We believe Skybee able to get into these segments," he said.

He added, Skybee phones are assembled and manufactured in China. However, software and designs are owned by the company. That way, Kendro said far more efficient than building their own production facilities.

Until late 2010, Skybeeer targeting revenue of Rp700 billion, an increase of 142.32 percent over the same period the previous year Rp288, 87 billion. Net profit is estimated to grow from 405.8 to 465.31 per cent to Rp17-19 billion compared to Rp3, 361 billion in 2009. As many as 80 percent of the targets will be contributed from the business and telcolink vouchers, the rest of the multimedia content and services. (Srn)
