Nokia announced that they had just filed a lawsuit in Federal District Court in the Western District of Wisconsin against Apple. Finnish mobile phone manufacturer is claiming the iPhone violates both iPad and copyrights owned five.
"Patents at issue relate to technology to improve voice and data transmission, using the placement of data within applications and innovations in the field of antenna configurations that improve performance as well as save space," said Nokia.
"The use of such technology enables products made smaller and compact," Nokia said in a statement, as quoted from PCWorld, May 8, 2010.
Although the statement seemed confused, this lawsuit seems appropriate to wear on the target. Section, the placement position on the application data has become an important feature, especially in the era of location-based technology as it is today.
Steps taken by Nokia is surprising technology community because they were never made public indicate that there are those who infringed copyright.
